Women entrepreneurs across India are emerging as dynamic agents of economic and social
transformation, especially within low-income communities. Their entrepreneurial aspirations
are fueled by a desire for financial independence, improved livelihoods, and community
development. However, unlocking their full potential requires a supportive ecosystem that
offers access to skills, markets, and digital platforms.
Recognising this, the ZingnZest initiative – conceived and implemented by ACCESS
Development Services (ACCESS) and supported by the HCL Foundation – offers a robust
and scalable model for inclusive entrepreneurship. Through a thoughtful blend of enterprise
development, digital enablement, and collective infrastructure, the initiative is creating
pathways for women-led businesses to thrive and grow.
Rooted in a comprehensive and holistic framework for women’s economic empowerment,
ZingnZest exemplifies how cross-sectoral partnerships between Civil Society Organisations
(CSOs) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arms can drive inclusive entrepreneurship,
particularly among marginalised women. By leveraging ACCESS’s grassroots expertise and
HCL Foundation’s commitment to equitable community development, the programme
transforms women from economically inactive individuals to confident, self-reliant
entrepreneurs.
